- Visit the share in question so that Mac OS X mounts it.
- Run “Sytem Preferences”.
- Select “Accounts”.
- Select the User you want to change by double clicking.
- Click on “Login Items”.
- Click the + button.
- Select the Samba/CIFS share you want to mount. It should now show as a new "Volume item".
- Close “System Preferences”.
- Beer.
