Infact there are so many more Saas proviers out there than Iaas or Paas, its easier than hosting in the cloud.However there are some drawbacks, flickr wont let you store RAW images so if down the line you want to make a print or album your limited to the heavily compressed JPEGS. Not so much of a problem if you shoot on a pocket camera. However S3 of course will do, but doesn't have any application logic over the top.I was introduced to the term RAIC (redundant array of clouds) and I think there is a market opportunity for a cloud service manager, you manage your images via this 3rd party and they back it out to two or more other providers via the APIs, and even store the RAW images at your cost on S3.Tim Burtonrnoreply@blogger.com
